Finding Monologues

This guide describes how to find play monologues using Staley Library resources.

There are several easy ways to go about finding a monologue:

  1. Find an author first, and then see if the library has any plays written by them.
  2. Choose a play, and then see if the library owns it.
  3. Consult a monologue reference book, and then see if the library owns the play.
  4. Search a popular publisher of plays, and choose one based on date, call number, & description
  5. Use the North American Theatre Online database.
