Celebrate Constitution Day!: Resources

The adoption of the Constitution of the United States on September 17, 1787 was a critical event in world history. The idea of a written document through which the people would govern themselves was revolutionary, and few at the time gave this "noble experiment" much chance to succeed. But it did succeed, becoming the standard by which other such documents are measured. It stands as America's greatest achievement.

Each year on September 17 (Constitution Day), Millikin University joins in the national commemoration of the world's most successful governing document. As part of this celebration, Staley Library is sharing this web page with links to information on the Constitution, its creation, and its relevance today.
