Staley Library Tour: Second Floor

A virtual tour of the Staley Library in the University Commons.

Second Floor

The second floor of the University Commons is home to the library's books stacks, leisure collection, older periodicals, reference collection, oversize collection, microfilm machine, and lots of study spaces. Additionally, you will find the Archives, Millikin Makers' Studio (MMS), MAC Lab, and Student Organization Room on this floor.

The Millikin University Archives and Special Collections are a place to research the history of Millikin. They are home to:

You can find periodicals that are older than the current calendar year on the second floor. Some are bound together while others are single issues. We also have many of them on microfilm, which can be read by this machine located nearby.

Study Spaces

Throughout the second floor there are lots of study spaces and comfortable places to sit and read. Signs on the table let you know the expected noise level. You will also see a couple of moveable whiteboards on both the second and fourth floors. Markers are available for checkout at the Circulation Desk.
